The most common connection methods of HDPE drainage pipe are: hot melt connection, electric melt connection, socket type flexible connection, flange connection, steel plastic transition joint connection, etc.
1. Hot melt connection of PE pipe
Hot melt connection is a special heating tool. Heat the parts to be connected of PE pipes or pipe fittings under pressure. After melting, remove the heating tool, press to connect the two melting surfaces together, and keep them under stable pressure for a period of time until the joint cools down. The hot-melt connection includes the hot-melt butt connection, the hot-melt socket connection and the hot-melt saddle type connection.
2. Electric fusion connection of HDPE drain pipe
The electric fusion connection is to use the special electric fusion pipe fitting with embedded resistance wire to contact with the connecting part of the pipe tightly and electrify, and heat the connecting part through the embedded resistance wire to make it integrated until the joint is cooled. Electrofusion connection can be used to connect PE pipes or Spigot fittings of different types and melt flow rates. Electrofusion connection is divided into electrofusion socket connection and electrofusion saddle connection.
3. HDPE drain socket type flexible connection
The socket type flexible connection of polyethylene pipe is a new type of connection developed by referring to the principle of socket type flexible connection of cast iron and PVC-U. it is a reinforced polyethylene socket welded at one end of PE pipe. The socket type flexible connection is to insert one end of PE pipe directly into the special socket of pipe or pipe fitting, through the locking ring in the socket to compress and resist drawing, and the rubber sealing ring to compress and seal, so as to achieve the purpose of connecting pipe and pipe fitting.
The steps of flexible socket connection of Yitong HDPE drainage pipe are as follows:
① : cut the pipe according to the required length, and the end face of the pipe after cutting shall be perpendicular to the pipe axis;
② : remove the burr and burr on the cutting end face;
③ : use the special chamfering machine to pour the pipe end into 15 ° ~ 30 °, and the groove thickness is 1 / 2 ~ 1 / 3 of the pipe wall thickness;
④ : use cotton yarn or dry cloth to clean the inner side of the socket and the outer side of the socket, and use acetone and other cleaners if necessary;
⑤ : the socket depth of the pipe fitting minus 10 mm is the insertion length of the pipe, which shall be marked on the pipe;
⑥ : check and adjust the rubber sealing ring, and apply the lubricant evenly on the surface of the rubber sealing ring and the external surface of the spigot of the pipe or pipe fitting with a brush. Do not use butter or other oils as lubricants
⑦ : insert the spigot of the pipe or fitting into the fitting socket at a constant speed to the mark. The insertion must be vertical. If it is difficult to insert, auxiliary devices can be used.

② : cut the pipe according to the required length, and the end face of the pipe after cutting shall be perpendicular to the pipe axis;

④ : the connecting end face of pipes and pipe fittings shall be clean, dry and oil-free. Clean with dry cloth or acetone if necessary;
⑤ : measure and mark the socket depth at the insertion end of the pipe with a caliper and a suitable pen;
⑥ : insert the pipe into the heating sleeve without rotation to the marked depth, and push the pipe to the heating head without rotation to reach the specified mark;
⑦ : after the heating time is reached, remove the pipe and pipe fittings from the heating head at the same time, and insert them to the marked depth in a straight line without rotation.

4. Flange connection of HDPE drain pipe
Flange connection is mainly used for the connection of polyethylene pipes with metal pipes or valves, flow meters, pressure gauges and other auxiliary equipment. Flange connection mainly consists of polyethylene flange connection, steel or aluminum flange, gasket or sealing ring, bolt, nut, etc. Flange connection is through fastening bolts and nuts, so that the flange connector and flange piece are in close contact to achieve the purpose of connection.
5. Steel plastic transition joint connection of HDPE drainage pipe
The connection of steel plastic transition joint is to connect polyethylene pipe and metal pipe with steel plastic transition joint prefabricated by cold pressing or other methods. The steel plastic transition joint has a pull-out locking ring and a sealing ring, which are usually required to have good sealing performance, pull-out resistance and pressure resistance than the polyethylene pipe in the system.
