HDPE double-wall corrugated pipes are used in areas where pipeline loads and changes in stratum soil quality may cause uneven longitudinal settlement of the pipeline. The foundation should be reinforced before the pipeline is laid. HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe foundations are used in socket interfaces and mechanical connections. HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe connection generally adopts four connection methods: extrusion hot melt connection, electric hot melt connection, mechanical connection, and heat shrinkable tape connection. The following briefly introduces two kinds of extrusion hot melt connection and electric hot melt connection. Connection method.

(1) Extrusion type hot melt connection uses special extrusion welding tools and extrusion welding rods to heat the adjacent pipe ends to melt the polyethylene material into an integral connection. It is a rigid connection. When welding, the metal disconnected parts are required to be aligned as much as possible, leaving a gap of 1-3mm at the interface to facilitate welding. The welding rod is provided by the pipe manufacturer. For pipes with a pipe diameter greater than 800mm, internal and external welding should be carried out; in sewage engineering with complex geological conditions, reinforcement measures such as adding steel belts should be taken at the disconnected part. When a welding connection is used, a hot air device must be used to preheat the polyethylene to be welded so that the extruded molten polyethylene can be integrated with the pipe.

(2) The connection of the electric heating tape should be carried out when the ambient temperature is low or close to the lowest. When connecting the electric heating tape, strictly follow the operation procedures of the technology and equipment required by the joint. The used heating tape shall be supplied by the manufacturer.

HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe drainage pipe pipeline foundation treatment should adopt composite foundation treatment methods such as sand piles and stone cast-in-place piles. Rigid foundation treatment measures such as driven piles, concrete cushion blocks, and concrete foundations are not used.
